TealNest is an 18 and over, well-appointed boutique studio with the best tools and top of the line equipment, as well as a beautiful array of clays, porcelain, and over 23 glazes.
TealNest is the a place for the serious Potter that is looking for the highest standards of education.
We are located in the heart of Reston, walking distance to the Reston Town Center, Virginia.

Ongoing classes
TealNest is a boutique studio with over 23 glazes for those who want to learn pottery to the highest standards with the latest techniques and instructors.
We offer ongoing 3-hour classes once a week for a maximum of 6- 8 students. Registration for four weeks of ongoing classes is $280 a month.
The class includes 2 open studio hours.
Enrolled students get full access to the studio during open studio hours.

If you accidentally purchase a gift certificate and request a refund, we'll need to deduct the PayPal fee imposed on us, which is beyond our control and part of PayPal's regulations.
Please be aware that our studio and ongoing classes for students 18 years and older have a long waitlist, and admission is not guaranteed.
The open studio is only for active students.
After your purchase, we'll email you to obtain the recipient's name and address for sending the gift certificate. You can also request an electronic certificate for faster delivery by contacting us at info@tealnestpottery.com.

The price is for 2 students, no need to be a couple.
1. Be on time; we have lots to learn, and the class will start sharp and you will need every minute of the class. Any student late over 15 minutes will forfeit their right to participate.

3. We are located in the basement area around the back; follow the concrete path to the right of the building; we are the last door.
The studio will open 10 minutes before the start of the workshop, 11704 Bowman Green Drive, Reston, VA
4. Each student gets to keep 1 of the 2 pots from the evening (a second bowl can be finished and glazed for an additional $5 per student)
5. Your pieces will be ready in 4 weeks after your workshop. Pieces will be held for 30 days after the teacher let you know they are ready for pick up. After that we will donate them or dispose of them.

Open studio hours are offered to active class students and studio members.
Students may work on their projects without instruction.
It includes the use of the studio, glazes, and firing. Clay must be purchased at the studio. Active students must use open studio hours within 90 days of purchase.

Your monthly recurring class fee covers not only the 3-hour classes but also two open studio hours. Please remember that clay must be purchased separately at the studio.
Enrolled and active weekly students have full access to the studio during open studio hours.
Any missed classes must be made up before leaving the studio. There will be no monetary or make-up credit for last-minute missed classes. Unused make-up classes will be lost if not booked within the exit period.
Active students are those in good standing and paid for the upcoming month.

Cancelations and returns
Due to the project nature of our classes and the limited seats/space, TealNest does not issue refunds for classes or workshop purchases. However, please give us at least 1-week notice of your cancellation before the workshop starts. You may apply your workshop fee towards any future classes or workshops or transfer your credit to another person. Credits must be used within 6 months.
8-week classes need a 3-week notice to get a credit for future classes or workshops
Last-minute missed workshops or classes will not be refunded or get credit for another date.
The holder of the Gift Certificate is responsible for letting us know which workshops they want to take. We do NOT notify holders of our upcoming dates.
Workshop Rescheduling due to inclement weather conditions:
The teacher will reschedule for a later date and if the student can not attend, the student will receive a a six-month credit for another workshop or may transfer it to another person. There will be no monetary refund.
Any PayPal or Square refunds are subject to processing fees, and we apologize. It is beyond our control.
Any unclaimed pieces will be donated after 30 days.
Workshops
TealNest offers various fun 3-hour workshops throughout the year. We also accommodate private or corporate groups with a maximum of eight students who may bring drinks and food.
Gift Certificate Holders, please do not try to book the workshop of your choice on the website. Contact us via email, info@tealnestpottery.com , phone or text to (703) 721 8228 . Unfortunately, Paypal will charge us the processing fee for refunds.
All our pottery is oven, microwave, dishwasher, and food safe. They are NOT suitable stovetops.
All private workshops can be reserved with a non-refundable fee of $250, and the client 1-week must pay the balance before the workshop date. An unpaid balance of the workshop 72 hours before the workshop date will be considered an immediate cancelation. TealNest Pottery reserves the right to accept payments after 48 hours.
